WHERE WE GO
Meet @ BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County @ 7:30AM Saturday (NOT SUNDAY) January 19th. Show up on time with at least 60 miles worth of fuel.
We will wind our way toward Ojai on paved roads. Instruction and drills will begin near Somis; expect a few pull-offs onto broad shoulders during the ride for brief discussions.
As mentioned in the LBN post, the natural world in our area has been mostly closed due to damage by fire and water. Luckily, much of what I have planned can be done on pavement, and some can be done in very small sections of dirt. We may have to improvise drill space a little bit, once we are up in the mountains. This seems like a good opportunity to do a little exploring in the area, so I will try to break up drills with stretches of pottering about in the mountains.
When we’ve had enough – or run out of accessible roadway – we’ll head back down to Ojai for a meal. Restaurant preferences, anyone?
