Join us Saturday for a dual sport ride to the Santa Ynez Valley. We’ll take in views of the ocean on one side and inland valleys on the other as we traverse an unpaved ridgeline road, then drop down into Solvang for a visit to the Solvang Motorcycle Museum, which shows motorcycles from a private collection whose holdings stretch back nearly to the turn of the century.

After the museum, we will cruise some mostly paved – though at times remote and imperfectly maintained – back roads, breaking up the rest of the ride with a lunch break at The Hitching Post (no merlot allowed), and a short ride and walk to Nojoqui Falls if time allows. The latter half of the ride will offer a more challenging dirt option for those who choose, as well.

Roadside in the Santa Ynez Valley near Nojoqui Falls.

Huzzah! Another best-laid plan "gang agley" yet survived all the same.
