The weather has been hard on the local mountains! Currently, almost all unpaved roads in our area are closed. There is a slim possibility that the area we are hoping to get to will open, but be prepared for a mostly paved day. The riding should be beautiful anyway, and the chief drills can be done on pavement – in fact, the first drill I had planned for pavement, and most could be done on a large remote shoulder, of which there should be several in the mountains. So, worst case, we still get to explore the Los Padres and hopefully learn some bike handling in the process. Most importantly, the weather has had little effect on Ojai’s restaurant offerings!
