June is a busy month! RawHyde Adventures is putting on a 4-day event, and there is a KTM rally later in the month. Rather than arranging a VCDSRS ride in June, I will be attending the RawHyde event June 6-10. It should be awesome! Check it out here:

RawHyde Adventures also puts together educational classes or "camps" taught by instructors who have graduated from BMW's riding school in Germany. I'm going to work with Jim to put a class together designed specifically for VCDSRS riders; no dates yet, but email me if you are interested in joining the group. If we can put a class together with Jim for July, that may well become the July VCDSRS ride. You can read about the types of classes Jim Hyde puts together here:

In August, expect to get back on course with the final - and most challenging -- DS Rides of the DSR Series. The more difficult trails I hoped to use on DSR 09 and 10 are currently closed due to the Day Fire, and should be open by August.

We are within 2-4 rides of making the shift from Rides to Overnights. The minimum Overnight will likely be 2 nights & 2.5-3 days. Due to the increased time demand, those rides will likely be bimonthly, perhaps interspersed with short-day DSS rides, also bimonthly.

Huzzah! Another best-laid plan "gang agley" yet survived all the same.
